POEM - 'Miss Mara Lynn'

'Miss Mara Lynn'

'Love, who took me by suprise,
You now take off your wise disguise
And give to me a girl so fine
I just can't wait to make her mine

When she talks, and talk she does,
I sigh and smile, and why? Because
Her eyes are looking straigh at me,
And in my heart, why can't it be?

I doubt that in the coming year,
I'd catch a plane and fly fromf here
But wait, because there's years to come,
And then, my dear, we'll have some fun

From the laundry basket they will rise,
Those girls of every shape and size
But you and I shall fight them off,
And trap poor Matthew in the loft.

But all of this in future time,
For now, I'll finish off this rhyme
With one more verse, to all of you,
Who doubt that these events play through

To those of you who doubt success,
Just wait and watch as we progress
Through situations thick and thin,
Until I meet Miss Mara Lynn.'

I hope she likes it.
